The Indonesian Peoples Alliance (IPA), a wide alliance of mass and civil society organizations, strongly condemned the government of SBY-Boediono who, through its apparatus, Large City Police in Surabaya, dispersed and arrested activists for staging a manifestation against the annual meeting of APEC trade ministers (Surabaya, April 20 to 21) and trade liberalization agenda. This action has further exposed the government of Indonesia as stooges of the international monopoly capitalist power, so the view of Adityo Ario, Managing Director of the Institute for National and Democracy Studies (INDIES).

The Netherlands Country Chapter of the International League of Peoples' Struggle held its Founding Assembly on 14 April 2013 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was attended by 30 participants representing 14 member-organizations and four observers.
The programme started with the singing of the ILPS hymn. Theo Droog, member of the ILPS Coordinating Committee, opened the assembly and welcomed the participants.

Dear Guests and Participants,
On behalf of the International Coordinating Committee of the International League of People’s Struggle (ILPS), I welcome you to the founding of the ILPS Chapter in the Netherlands. The theme is ‘Defending Human Rights and People’s Welfare in time of Crisis in Europe and the Netherlands.”
The International League of Peoples' Struggle is an international formation of more than 350 organizations from 40 countries promoting, supporting and developing the anti-imperialist struggles of the peoples of the world. It has a broad mass character and not subordinate to any political party, government or religion and affords equality to all participating organizations. It strives to realize the unity, cooperation and coordination of anti-imperialist and democratic struggles throughout the world.
