ILPS condemns US, UK and France for missile attack against Syria

Such an unlawful act by these states against another sovereign state constitutes the crime of aggression– considered as the supreme international crime and the worst kind of terrorism against the aggrieved state and people. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all states to respect the UN Charter after the three aggressor states launched their missile attack even without the approval of the UNSC and warned against escalating the situation in Syria.

We support the peaceful reunification of Korea. We demand US withdrawal and end to the State of War

It was the first official meeting by the two sides in more than two years. The negotiations took place in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between the two Koreas. This breakthrough has led one analyst to say that the talks might yet be another example where when the US is sidelined and peaceful solutions can be found by local players.

ILPS condemns the murder of MST’s Marcinho

Marcinho’s murder outside of his home in the Chapada Diamantina region, at the age of 34, in front of his son, and through three gunshot wounds in his head, is most revolting. It is the latest addition to the growing list of peasant leaders and activists in Brazil, many belonging to the progressive MST, who are being murdered for fighting for land, life and justice for the landless.
